[05-09-2025] Alameda County, CA – 64-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed in Crash at Depot Road and Adrian Avenue Near Chabot College in Hayward

A 64-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle while riding a motorized bicycle near Chabot College in Hayward on Friday morning, May 9, 2025.

According to the Hayward Police Department, the crash occurred shortly after 10:15 a.m. at the intersection of Depot Road and Adrian Avenue.

The bicyclist was found with serious injuries and transported to the hospital, where he later died. His identity has not yet been released.

The driver, a 35-year-old man who is not a Hayward resident, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. He was not injured in the incident.

Police stated that DUI is not suspected to be a factor. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
