[06-09-2025] Sonoma County, CA – Bicyclist Critically Injured After Being Struck by Pickup Truck in Santa Rosa

A 55-year-old woman riding a bicycle was critically injured after being struck by a pickup truck in Santa Rosa on Monday morning, June 9, 2025.

According to the Santa Rosa Police Department, police responded at around 8:12 a.m. at the intersection of Sebastopol Road and Laurel Grove Circle.

Officers and paramedics found the bicyclist on the ground and the driver of a gold Ford pickup truck at the scene. The bicyclist was transported to a local trauma center with life-threatening injuries.

Police said the Ford pickup was traveling westbound on Sebastopol Road when it struck the bicyclist as she was crossing the roadway north to south in a crosswalk.

The driver, a 59-year-old man from Cloverdale, did not show signs of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Investigators also stated that speed did not appear to be a factor.

The investigation is ongoing.
