A pedestrian was seriously injured in a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision in Adelanto on Monday evening, July 28, 2025.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriffโs Department, the incident occurred at approximately 9:24 p.m. in the 11700 block of Bartlett Avenue near Baldwin Street, across from the Villa Adelanto apartment complex.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and requested a medical helicopter due to the severity of the pedestrianโs injuries. The victim was transported by ground ambulance to the Southern California Logistics Airport, then airlifted via REACH Air Medical to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Investigators determined that a 2021 Kia was traveling east on Bartlett Avenue at approximately 20 mph when it struck the pedestrian near Baldwin Street. The driver remained at the scene and contacted law enforcement.
Authorities have not released the victimโs identity. No updates on the pedestrianโs condition were available as of Monday night.
The Adelanto Sheriffโs Station is handling the investigation.
