[09-30-2025] San Bernardino County, CA โ€“ Three Airlifted After Two-Vehicle Collision on Schooner Drive in Helendale

Three people were airlifted to trauma centers after a two-vehicle collision in Helendale, San Bernardino County, on Tuesday afternoon, September 30, 2025.

According to officials, the crash occurred at approximately 2:46 p.m. on Schooner Drive, near Anchorage Lane.

A blue 2018 Honda Civic, occupied by two males and a female, was traveling westbound when the driver lost control while navigating a curve. The Honda struck a white 2013 Nissan Pathfinder, which was parked and unoccupied at the time of the incident.

The impact pushed the SUV into the middle of the roadway while the Honda continued across a front yard, crashing into a wooden fence before coming to a stop.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department confirmed that all three occupants of the Honda sustained critical injuries. Three medical helicopters were requested to land nearby on Primrose Lane, and the patients were airlifted to out-of-area trauma centers. CHP officers at the scene stated that speed was a factor in the crash.

The California Highway Patrol Victorville station is handling the investigation into the collision.
