[10-08-2025] Madera County, CA โ€“ Two Seriously Injured After Toyota Collides with Trailer at Avenue 25 and Road 9

Two people sustained major injuries after their Toyota Corolla collided with a trailer and became lodged underneath in Madera County on Wednesday morning, October 8, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 4:40 a.m. at the intersection of Avenue 25 and Road 9.

A gray 2020 Volvo pulling an enclosed trailer, traveling northbound on Road 9, failed to stop at a sign and entered the intersection directly into the path of the eastbound Toyota. The Corolla collided with the left side of the trailer and became lodged underneath.

The driver, a 38-year-old woman, and her passenger, a 22-year-old man from El Nido, were transported to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries. The driver of the Volvo was not injured.

Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
