[10-10-2024] Los Angeles County, CA – Bicyclist Suffers Critical Injuries After Crash With Ford Truck in Pasadena

A 66-year-old man riding a bicycle suffered critical injuries following a traffic collision involving a Ford truck in Pasadena on Thursday morning, October 10, 2024.

According to the Pasadena Police Department, the crash was reported at around 5:34 a.m. at the intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue and Peoria Street.

Police said the bicyclist sustained critical head injuries, including a skull fracture, along with serious injuries to his leg. Pasadena Fire Department paramedics transported the injured man to a local hospital for treatment. As of Friday morning, authorities stated he remained in critical condition.

Police reported that the driver of the Ford truck, identified as a 59-year-old man from Los Angeles, was not injured. The driver was arrested for driving without a license. The name of the arrested driver was not released.

Members of the Pasadena Police Department’s major accident investigation team responded to investigate the cause of the collision.

The crash remains under investigation.
