A 40-year-old man was killed in a traffic collision involving an SUV and a quad at the intersection of Navajo Road and Ottawa Road in Apple Valley, San Bernardino County, on Sunday evening, October 12, 2025.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriffโs Department, the crash occurred around 5:00 p.m. Emergency crews arrived to find both the SUV and the quad on their sides. Juan M. of Apple Valley, who was operating the quad, sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The three occupants of the SUV were also transported to a hospital as a precaution. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and authorities have not released further details.
