[10-19-2025] Sacramento County, CA โ€“ Man Killed After Being Struck by Two Vehicles While Crossing 47th Avenue Near Franklin Boulevard

A man was killed after being struck by two vehicles while crossing 47th Avenue west of Franklin Boulevard in Sacramento on Sunday night, October 19, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. The man was walking southbound across the eastbound lanes when he fell in the #2 lane, where he was struck by a 2017 Toyota Prius and a 2017 Ford Focus. Despite lifesaving efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The identity of the man will be released by the Sacramento County Coronerโ€™s Office after next of kin notification.
