[10-31-2025] San Joaquin County, CA โ€“ Two Children Critically Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle on Tracy Boulevard in Tracy

Two children were critically injured after being struck by a vehicle while trick-or-treating on Tracy Boulevard near Rockport Drive in Tracy on Friday night, October 31, 2025.

According to the Tracy Police Department, the crash happened before 9:00 p.m. as the two children, both under 10 years old, were crossing the street.

As of Sunday, both remained in critical condition. The driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with investigators. Police said alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the crash.

Sgt. Michael Richards of the Tracy Police Department said it was unclear whether the driver did not see the children or was distracted at the time of the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.
