[11-06-2025] Los Angeles County, CA – Uber Driver Killed, Passenger Hospitalized After Crashing Into Food Truck in Mid-City

An Uber driver was killed and a passenger was hospitalized after a crash involving a food truck on the eastbound 10 Freeway in Los Angeles’ Mid-City area early Thursday morning, November 6, 2025.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the collision occurred at around 2:15 a.m. near the Arlington Avenue off-ramp.

Firefighters arrived to find a vehicle that was actively operating for Uber had collided with a food truck, which was reported to be parked at the time.

Authorities stated that the crash ignited a small fire. The Uber driver, described as a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials reported that Uber passengers were able to exit the vehicle following the collision. A 32-year-old passenger was transported to a hospital in fair condition.

The identity of the deceased driver has not been released.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
