A 25-year-old man was struck and killed by a semi-truck while walking on Highway 99 in central Fresno late Tuesday night, November 18, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just after 10:30 p.m. on the northbound lanes south of Clinton Avenue. Investigators said the man had been walking in a traffic lane when the big rig hit him, and he died at the scene.
The truck driver remained at the scene and assisted investigators. Authorities stated that the driver showed no signs of impairment.
Northbound Highway 99 was shut down for several hours while authorities conducted their investigation, but it has now reopened. The incident is still being investigated.
