A man was killed after being hit by a vehicle near Fruitridge and Power Inn roads in South Sacramento on Wednesday night, November 19, 2025.
The Sacramento Police Department responded around 9:15 p.m. to reports of a pedestrian struck in the area. Police say that medics from the Sacramento Fire Department pronounced the man dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
Officials also reported that the driver remained at the location. Roads remained closed in the area through the night and into the early morning hours for the investigation. All lanes were reopened by 2 a.m. Thursday. Officers reported that the driver was not arrested.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
