[11-21-2025] San Diego County, CA – Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Struck by Motorcyclist on Garnet Avenue in Pacific Beach

A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a motorcyclist in the 1900 block of Garnet Avenue in San Diego’s Pacific Beach community on Friday night, November 21, 2025.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash happened around 9:20 p.m. as a 35-year-old man was walking southbound on the east crosswalk against the red “Don’t Walk” signal. He was hit by a 21-year-old man riding an eastbound Suzuki 1500 motorcycle on the same block of Garnet Avenue.

The pedestrian sustained a lacerated liver, a fractured femur, and several additional fractures, while the motorcyclist had multiple abrasions. Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a hospital. It was not known whether the motorcyclist was also taken to a hospital. Authorities said DUI was not suspected.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
