[09-07-2025] Riverside County, CA โ€“ 67-Year-Old Woman Killed While Riding E-Bike on Pierson Boulevard in Desert Hot Springs

A 67-year-old woman was fatally struck by a vehicle while riding an electric bike on Pierson Boulevard in Desert Hot Springs on Sunday morning, September 7, 2025.

According to the Riverside County Coronerโ€™s Office and the California Highway Patrol, the victim, identified as Laura H. of Desert Hot Springs, was riding a Sasikeibike along the right-hand portion of the eastbound lane just west of North Indian Canyon when a Ford F-150 pickup approached from behind. For unknown reasons, the driver did not see Harker and struck the rear of her e-bike.

Laura sustained multiple traumatic injuries and was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where she was pronounced dead roughly 30 minutes later.

The crash remains under investigation by CHP Indio Area officers.
