[01-11-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – 19-Year-Old Woman Killed in Crash Involving Tesla and Big Rig on 210 Fwy. in Sylmar

A 19-year-old woman was killed in a crash involving a Tesla and a semi-truck in Sylmar, Los Angeles, on Sunday morning, January 11, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 5:10 a.m. on the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway at the Polk Street off-ramp.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Firefighters and paramedics assisted CHP officers with extricating the victim from the wreckage, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner later identified the victim as Angie R. Her city of residence was not immediately available.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
