[03-26-2026] San Diego County, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Toyota on West Point Loma Blvd.

A male pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in San Diego’s Point Loma Heights neighborhood on Thursday morning, March 26, 2026.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident occurred around 2:00 a.m., when a 40-year-old man driving a 2009 Toyota Yaris eastbound on West Point Loma Boulevard struck a pedestrian walking in the Number 1 lane.

The pedestrian, whose identity has not yet been released, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota was not injured, and police stated that driving under the influence was not a factor in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
