[01-07-2026] Solano County, CA – One Killed, Another Injured In Two-Vehicle Collision on Southbound I-505 Near Allendale Rd.

A wrong-way driver was killed, and another driver sustained injuries in a crash on Interstate 505 in Solano County on Wednesday evening, January 7, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 6 p.m. near Allendale Road, approximately nine miles north of Vacaville.

Authorities reported that a gold Toyota Prius was traveling the wrong way on southbound I-505 when it collided with a southbound Subaru Forester.

The driver of the Prius was pronounced dead at the scene. The Subaru driver was transported to a hospital with major injuries but is in stable condition.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
