[01-18-2026] Solano County, CA – Three Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Westbound I-80 in Fairfield

Three people were killed in a wrong-way crash on the westbound Interstate 80 in Fairfield early Sunday morning, January 18, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 2:00 a.m. east of the Cordelia Weigh Station.

Authorities reported that a white Dodge Charger with two male occupants collided with a black Land Rover Discovery driven by a solo female. All three individuals died as a result of the crash.

Investigators stated that it is not yet known which vehicle was traveling the wrong way. Witnesses reported seeing a “light-colored sedan” driving in the wrong direction prior to the collision.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
