[06-04-2026] Tehama County, CA – One Killed in Crash Involving Walmart Semi-Truck and Small SUV on Old Highway 99 in Red Bluff

At least one person was killed in a crash involving a Walmart semi-truck and a small SUV in Red Bluff on Thursday evening, June 4, 2026.

According to California Highway Patrol traffic logs, the collision was reported around 5:45 p.m. on Old Highway 99 near St. Elizabeth Community Hospital.

Emergency crews responded to the scene, and firefighters were called when one of the vehicles caught fire. Cal Fire extinguished the flames.

CHP reported that the semi-truck was traveling northbound and the small SUV was traveling southbound when the collision occurred. No other injuries were reported.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
