[07-07-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle in Pacoima

A 37-year-old woman, identified as Jessica F., was killed after being struck by a vehicle in the Pacoima area on Tuesday night, July 7, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident was reported at around 9:13 p.m. on the 12600 block of Branford Street, between Interstate 5 and San Fernando Road.

The victim sustained fatal blunt-force injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.

Authorities reported that a 43-year-old man was driving a white pickup truck eastbound on Branford Street when he struck the pedestrian, who was crossing northbound outside of a crosswalk in the No. 2 lane.

The driver remained at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. The driver is facing possible charges of vehicular manslaughter.

The investigation remains ongoing.
