[08-14-2026] Sacramento County, CA – Pedestrian Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash in Oak Park

A man was critically injured after being struck by two vehicles in Sacramento on Friday night, August 14, 2026.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, officers responded to the incident shortly after 9 p.m. at the 4500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in the Oak Park neighborhood.

Police said the pedestrian was struck by two separate vehicles before officers arrived. The driver of the first vehicle fled the scene following the collision.

The second driver remained at the crash site and cooperated with investigators.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Additional information about his identity or the fleeing vehicle was not immediately available.

The Sacramento Police Department continues to investigate the hit-and-run crash.
