Trial Attorney
Scott J. Walker is a personal injury attorney dedicated to representing individuals and families who have been injured because of someone else’s negligence. Scott always wanted to be a personal injury lawyer—to stand up for the “little guy” and fight for people who are forced to go up against well-funded defendants with seemingly unlimited litigation tools at their fingertips.
Before becoming a plaintiffs' attorney, Scott spent several years representing insurance companies and defendants in complex personal injury litigation. He handled catastrophic injury, wrongful death, commercial litigation, premises liability, construction defect, and product liability matters, including managing a portfolio of more than 250 high-exposure trucking cases for a national insurance company. He also handled cases from inception through trial, taking and defending depositions, managing extensive discovery, working with experts, and litigating motions in state and federal court.
That experience gives Scott a perspective that few plaintiff attorneys possess. He understands how insurance companies evaluate claims, how defense attorneys approach liability and damages, and the strategies insurers use when deciding whether to settle a case. Scott uses that knowledge to anticipate the other side’s arguments and build strong, well-prepared cases for his clients.
Scott earned his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he concentrated in Civil Litigation. Before law school, he earned bachelor's degrees in Secondary English Education and Theatre & Dance from the University of Wyoming. His background in English and Theatre has shaped the way he approaches his work: he believes a good lawyer must not only understand the law, but also know how to tell a client's story clearly, persuasively, and authentically.
Outside of the courtroom, Scott enjoys creative writing, pickleball, hiking, and paddleboarding. Most importantly, he values time with his family and friends. Whether he is writing a brief or writing creatively at home, Scott enjoys the challenge of finding the right words to tell a compelling story.
Scott is proud to represent people rather than insurance companies. He brings the litigation experience of a defense attorney together with the perspective of a plaintiffs' advocate, with the goal of giving his clients the knowledge, preparation, and determined representation they deserve.
