[09-17-2026] San Joaquin County, CA – At Least Three Injured in Eight-Vehicle Crash Involving Big Rig on I-5 in Stockton

One person suffered serious injuries, and two others sustained minor injuries in an eight-vehicle crash involving an overturned big rig in Stockton on Thursday evening, September 17, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s Stockton office, the crash occurred shortly after 5:15 p.m. on northbound Interstate 5, south of March Lane.

CHP said eight vehicles were involved in the collision, including a big rig carrying watermelons that overturned.

At least one person was transported to a hospital with serious injuries. Two other people suffered minor injuries and were also hospitalized.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
