Fernando Hernandez is an attorney at Arash Law, where he focuses on discovery and supports the firm’s efforts to advocate for individuals who have suffered injuries. Passionate about helping others, Fernando is committed to protecting his clients’ rights and helping them navigate the legal process with confidence.
Fernando began his academic journey at Cal State LA, where he majored in Broadcast Journalism and minored in Communications. He later completed Cal State LA’s paralegal certificate program, which introduced him to the legal profession and sparked his passion for the law. Motivated to pursue this new path, Fernando moved to the Midwest to attend law school and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa.
While pursuing his law degree, he served as a research assistant to Professor Lorie Schweer, who taught Legal Research and Writing. He also contributed to the Transnational Law and Contemporary Problems (TLCP) journal at Iowa, first as a student writer and later as an editor. In addition, Fernando was actively involved in the Hispanic/Latinx Law Student Association (HLLSA), serving as a member and treasurer.
Following law school, Fernando moved to Alaska, where he clerked for the Honorable Laura Hartz of the Alaska Superior Court. Before joining Arash Law, he clerked for the Honorable Magdalena Reyes Bordeaux of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California. These experiences strengthened his legal research and analytical skills while providing valuable insight into judicial decision-making and how the law helps individuals and businesses navigate complex legal challenges.
Outside the office, Fernando enjoys reading, running, hiking, and playing soccer. Above all, he loves learning new things and strives to expand his knowledge and broaden his perspective.
