[10-11-2026] Riverside County, CA – Bicyclist in Critical Condition After Collision With Vehicle in Palm Springs

A bicyclist remained in critical condition Monday after a collision with a vehicle in Palm Springs on Sunday night, October 11, 2026.

According to the Palm Springs Police Department, the crash was reported at about 9:40 p.m. at North Sunrise Way and East Vista Chino.

Police said the cyclist was riding north on Sunrise Way and attempted to cross Vista Chino before colliding with a vehicle.

The bicyclist, whose name was not released, suffered significant injuries and was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Police said alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors. The investigation was ongoing.
