[03-06-2021] Los Angeles, CA – Two-Vehicle Collision In Porter Ranch Results In One Death

One unidentified person was killed after a fatal two-vehicle traffic collision in Porter Ranch on Saturday afternoon, March 6.

The deadly accident transpired at approximately 2:39 p.m. in the 10800 block of North Tampa Avenue.

A northbound vehicle ran a red light on Tampa Avenue and was later broadsided by a westbound vehicle on Chatsworth Street.

The broadsided vehicle then crashed into a pole in the center median, crushing the driver’s side. The driver was pinned inside the vehicle as a result of the collision.

The trapped driver sustained life-threatening injuries from the accident and was later pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was uninjured. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed at the moment.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Bureau is currently investigating the case.
