[01-02-2024] Riverside County, CA – Three People Injured After Tractor-Trailer Collision Along Highway 86 in Oasis

Three people were injured after a tractor-trailer collision in Oasis, Riverside County, on Tuesday evening, January 2, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened before 10:00 p.m. along Highway 86 near Avenue 86.

Reports indicate that the tractor-trailer was turning left onto Highway 86 when its trailer got separated and partially blocked the first lane. An unspecified vehicle heading northbound struck the trailer and lost control.

Two passengers from the second vehicle suffered serious injuries, while the third one suffered moderate injuries. One victim was transported to the hospital via airlift.

The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the cause of the collision.
