[01-11-2024] San Bernardino County, CA – Elderly Pedestrian Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle in Hesperia

An elderly pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Hesperia on Thursday afternoon, January 11, 2024.

According to the Hesperia Police Department, the collision happened around 1:40 p.m. in the 13400 block of Main Street, outside a Walmart store.

A female driver of a gray Toyota Corolla reportedly struck the man as she was turning right towards Walmart. The victim was thrown to the ground, and a shopping cart also fell on top of him.

The elderly victim was secured with a neck brace before being taken to the Desert Valley Medical Center for treatment.

The driver remained at the scene and fully cooperated with the officials. No further information was released about the collision.
