A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a vehicle in San Rafael on Wednesday morning, January 14, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just before 8:40 a.m. at the intersection of Point San Pedro Road and Summit Avenue.
Firefighters and sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene. Officials said the pedestrian was struck either in or near a crosswalk. Her identity is withheld pending notification of next of kin.
A green Toyota Tundra involved in the crash was towed for evidentiary purposes, as noted in the incident logs. The driver remained on the scene and cooperated with authorities.
No arrests have been made, and investigators have yet to determine if alcohol, drugs, or speed contributed to the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
