[01-27-2023] Victorville Multi-Vehicle Crash Caused by DUI Driver Injures SergeantA San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Sergeant was injured following a multi-vehicle collision caused by a DUI driver in Victorville on Friday evening, January 27, 2023.

According to the Victorville Police Department, the three-vehicle crash occurred around 10:08 p.m. at the Amargosa Road and Palmdale Road intersection.

26-year-old Jonathan H. of Victorville reportedly failed to stop at a red light while traveling on a GMC Yukon. He crashed with a Sheriff’s Sergeant driving an unmarked Dodge Charger and an adult woman driving a Chevy Tahoe.

The Sergeant was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his wounds before being released to recuperate at home. The crash left the Dodge towed from the site with significant damage. No medical assistance was necessary for the female Tahoe driver. Despite minimal damage, her car was still functional.

Jonathan showed evident indicators of driving under the influence of alcohol and was resistant to attempts of a field sobriety test by the deputies. He was detained at the High Desert Detention Center after being charged with felony DUI inflicting bodily harm.
