[01-29-2026] Riverside County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle on South Main St. in Corona

A woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Corona on Thursday evening, January 29, 2026.

According to the Corona Police Department, officers responded to the incident that occurred at around 7:20 p.m. on the 2600 block of South Main Street.

Authorities stated that the pedestrian was transported to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Investigators reported that the victim was walking eastbound across South Main Street outside of a designated crosswalk when she was struck by a northbound vehicle.

Police said the driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Officials indicated that alcohol or drugs were not believed to be factors in the crash.
