[01-30-2023] San Bernardino County, CA – Female Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Vehicle in Fontana

An unidentified woman was struck and killed during a pedestrian collision in Fontana early Monday morning, January 30, 2023.

According to authorities, the deadly crash occurred around 1:10 a.m. on Citrus Avenue close to Harvey Drive.

Reports stated that the victim crossed the southbound lanes from west to east when she was hit by a white Toyota Solara being driven by a 21-year-old local.

The pedestrian was found to be crossing outside a crosswalk and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials confirmed that the driver was not under the influence of any substance.

Citrus was closed to traffic between Malaga and Barbee avenues for about six hours.

Further investigations are currently ongoing.
