What To Do After A Truck Accident In Riverside County

Remaining composed and following the appropriate actions after a truck accident can significantly impact your recuperation, both monetarily and physically. To safeguard your rights and interests, our truck accident attorneys advise taking the following actions, provided you’re still able to do so:

  1. Go to a secure area and check your injuries, but do not leave the scene. To get emergency medical assistance, dial 911. Do not put off seeing a doctor for too long, even if you feel well. Keep in mind that some injuries may not show up right once, and adrenaline can conceal pain.
  2. Inform the police about the event. While the memories are still fresh, the authorities can record the scene and collect witness accounts. If you later choose to take legal action or submit an insurance claim, a police report will be an important record.
  3. Record the site of the accident. Get as much evidence as you can. Take pictures and videos of the scene of the collision, the truck involved, any property damage, and your injuries. Any eyewitnesses can be asked to testify as well.
  4. Make a note of all the important details. Make a note of everyone’s names and contact information.
  5. Inform the insurance provider, but be careful not to reveal too much or take responsibility for the crash. Your statements could subsequently negatively affect your claim, so watch what you say.
  6. Consult Arash Law for legal assistance. From looking into the accident to protecting you in court, our truck accident attorneys can handle every aspect of the legal process.
