[02-05-2023] Suspected DUI Collision in Yucca Valley Injured Three PeopleThree people were confirmed injured after a suspected DUI collision in Yucca Valley on Sunday afternoon, February 5, 2023.

According to reports, the crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Palomar Avenue and Yucca Trail.

Authorities stated that a Kia, driven by a 26-year-old with a 23-year-old passenger, was traveling north when a silver Honda CRV veered at the intersection against a red arrow.

Both cars were severely damaged, and the Honda driver, 41-year-old Isaac J., was injured at a speed of 45 mph.

When they arrived at the scene, responders found both vehicles severely damaged.

The driver and passenger of the Kia were both taken to Desert Regional Medical Center with minor wounds and pain complaints.

Meanwhile, the 41-year-old man was taken to the High Desert Medical Center for treatment of chest pain and possible broken ribs.

The driver was allegedly under the influence at the time of the collision.

Investigations are currently ongoing.
