[02-07-2023] Riverside County, CA – Unidentified Person Fatally Struck After Pedestrian Crash on Interstate 10

A pedestrian crash led to the death of one person in Indio late Tuesday night, February 7, 2023.

Reports stated that the deadly collision occurred around 10:57 p.m. at the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 near the State Highway 86 interchange.

According to authorities, they were notified that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle on the freeway.

Investigators have not yet released the victim’s name, but the pedestrian died at the scene.

Freeway traffic was diverted onto State Highway 86 until 3:00 a.m.

The driver’s identity was not revealed.

The crash’s cause is still under investigation.
