[02-09-2023] Bicycle Collision in Oakland Severely Injured Male RiderA bicycle collision severely injured a male biker, identified as Russell H., in Oakland on Thursday night, February 9, 2023.

Reports indicated that the crash transpired around 11:30 p.m. on Grand Avenue between Lenox Avenue and Park View Terrace.

The victim was biking back from the bike party when a blue hatchback hit him and drove away while he lay on the ground.

He also claimed that a group of bicyclists was hit further down the road, albeit by the car’s door.

Due to the impact, the biker broke his foot and elbow, necessitating surgery. Despite feeling weirdly lucky, the man said he was not eager to return to riding anytime soon.

Investigations on the cause of the collision are underway.
