What To Do After an Accident Occurred
Ensure that law enforcement arrives at the collision site and files a report. Tell the truth about what you saw and experienced if you are interviewed at the accident scene. Ensure that you use your words carefully and avoid making assumptions about things you do not understand. Immediately following an accident, victims may apologize profusely due to anxiety and shock, even when they did not cause the accident. Insurance companies could utilize this act of kindness to argue that you admitted fault and avoided paying for your claim.
