Two people sustained injuries following a collision between a Metrolink train and an SUV in Covina on Friday morning, February 10, 2023.
According to Metrolink, the collision occurred at about 10:30 a.m. on East Front Street and Barranca Avenue, between the Covina Station and Pomona North Station.
One person on the train and another inside the SUV sustained injuries. No further details on their identities and current conditions were released.
The vehicle was seen on the tracks with significant damage to its passenger side. It was pushed along the tracks for several feet due to the impact.
The Union Station in downtown Los Angeles served as the departure point for San Bernardino line Train 308.

Around 3,216 commuters were hurt in the incident. If these injuries are severe enough, they could be fatal. In 2015, there were 66 fatalities at railroad and highway grade crossings in the United States.
