An unidentified man was struck and killed in a pedestrian collision in San Diego early Friday morning, February 10, 2023.
The deadly crash reportedly occurred around 1:00 a.m. in the Lake Murray neighborhood.
According to the police, a 31-year-old man was driving westbound on 8700 Mission Gorge Rd. in a Toyota Prius when he noticed an unidentified male pedestrian walking in a very dark area.
As a result, the victim was hit by the Toyota and succumbed to his injuries.
Officers confirmed that the crash was not caused by alcohol or drugs.
Further investigations on the cause of the crash are ongoing.
