[02-16-2023] 33-Year-Old Woman Killed in Fatal Collision in FontanaAccording to the California Highway Patrol, a 33-year-old woman was killed in a car accident in western Fontana on Thursday, February 16, 2023.

The crash occurred around 9:20 p.m. in the area of San Bernardino and Cherry Avenues.

The big rig was reportedly traveling south on Cherry Avenue while the woman, driving a sedan, was traveling east on San Bernardino Avenue toward Cherry Avenue.

According to the CHP, the witnesses stated that the sedan ran through the intersection’s red light and collided with the big rig.

The woman was declared dead.

The big rig’s driver, who was unharmed, remained on the scene and assisted the CHP’s investigation.
