According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the deadly incident occurred at around 4:00 a.m. on the intersection of Bristol Street and Alton Avenue.

SAPD said that the vehicle was traveling north on Bristol Street approaching Alton Avenue when it hit the cyclist who was heading east across the northbound lanes.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene and assisted the police with the investigations.
