Authorities reported that a motorcyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle in Davis on Saturday evening, February 18, 2023.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred around 6:42 p.m. on westbound Interstate 80 at the Mace Boulevard off-ramp.
The circumstances leading to the crash are still under investigation, but it reportedly involved a motorcycle and a vehicle.
The motorcycle rider was killed, while no further updates on the car’s driver were immediately available. One lane was closed due to the collision.
Authorities are still looking further to determine what caused it, including whether alcohol or drugs played a role.
