A driver was arrested after a DUI collision fatally struck a pedestrian in Los Angeles early Wednesday morning, February 22, 2023.
Authorities confirmed the crash transpired around 1:30 a.m. on the 10900 block of Riverside Drive in North Hollywood.
According to reports, firefighters responded to the scene and discovered the pedestrian in a condition beyond medical help.
Investigators later arrived and began investigating the driver, who had remained on the scene after fatally striking the victim.
The female driver was arrested after failing a field sobriety test.
The LAPD Valley Traffic Division is looking into the collision.
Riverside Drive was closed in both directions at Vineland Avenue during the investigation.
