[03-28-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – DUI Pursuit Led to Crash in Downtown LA, Four Injured

Four people sustained injuries after a pursuit led to a DUI crash in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, March 29, 2023.

According to reports, the collision transpired around 9:13 p.m. near the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Witmer Street.

Authorities stated that they attempted to stop a reckless driver that drove a 2007 Honda sedan which collided with at least one vehicle close to 9th and Hope Streets.

Responders were called to the scene and transported four victims to hospitals. Their conditions and identities are yet to be released.

Police confirmed that arrests were made and were wanted for driving under the influence, but it is unclear how many suspects were apprehended.

Animal services were also called to help with a small dog that was in one of the wrecked vehicles. The dog’s condition was also unknown.

No officers were injured during the crash. Further investigations are currently underway.
