[04-01-2022] Kings County, CA – One Person Killed in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on Kansas Avenue

According to the California Highway Patrol, a crash in Kings County resulted in the death of a man on Friday, April 1, 2022.

It happened just before 10:30 p.m. on Kansas Avenue, between Hanford and Corcoran, west of Highway 43.

According to authorities, a 54-year-old man driving east in a Toyota drifted into the opposite lane. It then collided with an oncoming Ford.

The Toyota driver died at the scene.

Four people inside the Ford sustained minor to moderate injuries.

One of the passengers was taken to the Adventist Health Tulare hospital.

The California Highway Patrol is still investigating what caused the 54-year-old driver to veer into the opposing lane.

It’s unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
