An unidentified man in his 80s was seriously injured in a head-on traffic collision in northeast Fresno on Monday evening, April 4, 2022.
According to the initial reports from local authorities, the crash happened at around 5:00 p.m. at the intersection of Cedar and Sierra Avenues.
Two vehicles collided head-on at the intersection under unclear circumstances. How the accident occurred, and the reason it happened has not been established.
One man sustained major injuries and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. Meanwhile, the other driver was treated at the scene.
Drugs and alcohol were not considered factors in the crash. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.
An active investigation of the case is currently underway.
