What to Do After a Workplace Accident
If you or someone you know has been hurt, please immediately seek medical attention. In the event of an unexpected event, it is not necessary to request time off from work. Your employer needs to know about your injuries as soon as possible, preferably within the 30-day timeframe, for the sake of everyone involved, but especially the family of the deceased. Therefore, further investigation into the claim is required. Check to see if your employer has made a workers’ compensation claim on your behalf.
Get in touch with a lawyer who has experience with workers’ comp and workplace accidents. If you’ve been seriously hurt on the job and your employer has denied your workers’ compensation claim, or you’re having trouble getting paid, you should contact a lawyer as soon as possible.
