[04-06-2022] Fresno County, CA – One Killed, Another Injured After a Two-Vehicle Crash near North Avenue

A 19-year-old Clovis resident was killed while a 21-year-old man was injured following a deadly traffic crash near North Avenue on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.

The accident happened at approximately 12:45 a.m. on North and Temperance Avenue, just southeast of Fresno city limits.

A northbound Toyota Rav4 was traveling on Temperance Avenue when the driver failed to stop at the intersection and crashed into a Toyota Corolla.

Due to the severity of the impact, both vehicles were sent to the side of the road and into a dirt field. A 19-year-old passenger in the Rav4 was ejected from the vehicle.

The 19-year-old Rav4 passenger was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the Toyota driver was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center.

The other driver was uninjured in the mishap. It’s unclear whether intoxication was a factor in the accident.

An active investigation of the crash is currently underway.
