A deputy was injured in a crash involving another vehicle in Palm Desert on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 6:30 a.m. along the I-10 overpass on Cook Street.
The eastbound Cook Street off-ramp on Interstate 10 in Palm Desert was closed Wednesday due to a collision between a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department motorcycle and another vehicle.
According to sheriff’s officials, the deputy involved in the crash was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The CHP requested a long-term off-ramp closure at 7:00 a.m., and it was unclear when it would reopen.
There are no other details available. The crash remains under investigation.
