[04-06-2023] Passenger in Critical State After DUI Driver Crashed into Pole in Soscol and Lincoln IntersectionA passenger was critically injured after a DUI driver crashed their vehicle into a power pole in Napa on Thursday night, April 6, 2023.

The Napa Police Department reported that the DUI solo-vehicle crash occurred at the Soscol and Lincoln Avenues intersection.

The responding officers arrived at the scene and found the driver to be drunk. The unidentified motorist sustained minor injuries and was later arrested.

The passenger sustained serious injuries and was sent to the hospital in critical condition. No identification has been released yet.

The vehicle was a newer model pickup truck that struck a power pole, leaving a piece of it hanging from the power lines above.

No further information was immediately available as the investigation continued.
